ROTATIONAL GRAZING & AGROFORESTRY
Kahlon Rotational Grazing & Agroforestry Farm, Amritsar
THE CHALLENGE
A working farm in Punjab's agriculturally depleted landscape, where the brief was to demonstrate that agroecological farming is not only ecologically sound but commercially profitable — in a context where monoculture and chemical inputs have long been the default.
WHAT ANITYATVA DID
A complete farm design integrating 1,500+ productive trees in an alleyway agroforestry model, with holistic rotational grazing for 300 chickens, 20 cows and buffaloes, and 10 goats across managed paddocks. Water harvesting structures support the grazing rotation. Full SOPs and ongoing management support delivered.
